Summertime Friends is a fictional novel based on a true story about seven teenagers from different parts of the country who spend the summer together. Three of the teens overcome seemingly impossible odds despite the negative prognosis given by the pessimists, thus proving that the optimistic will of the human spirit overcomes the mind of the pessimists.
